After finishing University in 2020, I started my career within the industry by joining Java Hub, a Coffee company based in Kent. During my time there I was able to expand my knowledge across a large variety of mediums such as campaigns, social media content, Monthly subscription magazines and website elements using the techniques I had learnt during my studies. As the sole designer for the company, I was able to push my artistic visions which lead to the re-design of Java Hub's product line. From here I began my journey into packaging design by working closely with the CEO for our re-launch campaign called "Wake up to colour".
Java Hub evolved to become Collab Coffee In 2021, with the sole purpose of offering a white-label service to local businesses, high profile clients and brands. During my time at Collab, I created over 200 packaging concepts for coffee, chocolate and merchandise for companies such as Warner Bros, Disney, BBC, and Playboy. As well as a variety of celebrities and influencers.
I'M MARTY
In May 2022 I began my new role at Utility Warehouse (UW) as a Graphic Designer for the company. Having been the only designer in my previous positions I now had the chance to work alongside other designers for the first time, which allowed me to grow my ability to work with others within a team and learn new ways to design and express my ideas. While at UW I have gained more skills in Print, digital assets, event branding, Illustration and content creation for Campaigns. I have also spent a lot of time growing a new skill in email design by helping to evolve the overall style to fit with our brand.
Although I'm in full-time employment, I like to continuously expand my knowledge in Branding, Packaging and Email design as a part-time freelancer. When it comes to working with clients, I'm told that I am someone who has an eye for detail, problem solving and idea generating.
